Your Stars 2012

Slightly later than intended I have posted forecasts for all twelve Sun signs for the year ahead. Each sign has a 1,000 word report, and one or two have slightly more. Because this represents a lot of work I have decided to sell the forecasts at £5.99 for all twelve. I hope that seems reasonable.
Lots of my readers clearly know their charts well, and often ask if they should also read for for their Rising (Ascendant) sign. It’s a good idea, for while the planets are in the same place in the zodiac regardless of your Sun sign, their position in your horoscope varies according to your Rising Sign.
For example, if you were born on June 22 your Sun is in Cancer’s skies, but if you were born at midday, your Cancer Sun is high in the sky. and you will have Libra Rising. If you were born at dusk, your Cancer Sun is on the western horizon and you have Capricorn Rising.
It follows that if there is currently a lot of planetary action in, say, Capricorn, that will occur at the root of the horoscope for a Libra Rising, and around the Ascendant for a Capricorn Rising. Same planets, different position in one’s ‘scope.
Astrology is full of different techniques, and for me Sun Sign astrology, where one simply uses one’s Sun sign as the rising Sign as well, is a perfectly valid technique (though far from all astrologers agree!), but reading the forecast for one’s Rising sign can offer further clues.
In my introduction to 2012 I have included a link to one of the sites that obligingly casts your chart for free – the digital age has its advantages!
People often accuse astrology of dividing people up into twelve types. Clearly if one adds in the Rising sign, that twelve grows into 144 different possibilities. If one adds in the Moon sign, then that 144 grows to 1,728 different combinations. That’s a lot more choice than offered by personality tests like the widely used Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (which, incidentally, is based on the work of Carl Jung, who was fascinated by astrology).
A happy and prosperous new year to all my readers.
Christmas 2011

Sickness and circumstance prevented my delivering a ‘Your Stars’ for December. Apologies to my readers, and thankyou for your enquiries and support. Now that Mercury has turned from its wretched retrograde cycle, here, appositely, is a post. Not much of one I’m afraid, just enough to bring the news that I will shortly be supplying full Sun sign forecasts for the year 2012, and further news that there will be a price tag involved.
Festive greetings and Christmas blessings to all.
