Your Stars 7 March
Oops, I did it again! Wrote a weekly Sun sign forecast that is. It was meant to be a brief note on this week’s planets, but by the time I’d suggested what might be what for Pisceans and Rams, I felt I had to do the same for the rest of the zodiac. Away you go then…
Your Stars 7 March 2010
The month of Pisces is outstandingly Fishy this year, thanks to the presence of the giant planet Jupiter, the sign’s traditional ruler, in Piscean skies. Jupiter insists that size matters; it symbolises the urge to think bigger, travel further, climb higher and spend more. The downside to Jupiter is excess; to urge to bite off more than you can chew, get lost on your voyage of discovery, or gamble away your windfall. As William Blake (a Jupiterian) put it: “Enough – or too much!”
What might we expect from a week when the talk planet Mercury meets Jupiter? Dazzling oratory perhaps, or, given Mercury’s tricky character, a big fat fib or con trick.
The other major planetary event this week is Mars coming to a halt after several months in apparent back motion. ‘Stationary’ planets are reckoned to be at their most potent, and since Mars and Venus, the two relationship planets, align precisely, it’s a time for ardent lovers…but definitely not for shrinking violets!
Wherever you have Pisces in your ‘scope is where your greatest advantage (or crisis) lies.
Pisces
This is not just a jolly lovely birthday, but a time to make things happen. Even if your life is in mega-flux (pretty likely), acts of ambition and integrity bring results. With Mercury speeding through your skies, you too have to be at top speed. If you are wondering if social encounters of the last few days (or last night) carry more significance than the usual ‘he/she is nice’, the answer is probably, scarily, affirmative.
Aries
The longer and more intense the preparations, the better the result. This is a period of intense incubation, so brew your schemes happily alone. If you find yourself apparently ‘stranded’, take it as a blessing. The arrival of Venus today (7 March) at the all important point 0 degrees Aries is a moment to take stock of romances that have recently gone astray. Put them cold-bloodedly to the test. Single? As Bobby Bland sang: turn on your lovelight.
Taurus
Where work is concerned, you can’t do it all on your own. You need allies, even characters whose flighty ways drive a steady-treader like you to distraction. Muck in. On a personal level, the compromised position of your planet, Venus, suggests you have likewise to make allowances, bite the bullet, perhaps hide away. Romance may well be mixed up with family roots. Watch and wait.
Gemini
Live up to your reputation as Billy or Betty Wizz, and keep pace with every tick of the clock. The events and dictates coming down from on high may not be of your making but you can field them with agility and speed. Don’t postpone anything longer than midweek, when your personal life also comes into sharp focus (likely, a black and white kitchen sink shot). Everything is to play for.
Cancer
Despite any cash crisis (and here, your ‘scope demands gimlet-eyed realism), this is a peachy time for Crabs, thanks to the expansive action in your fellow water sign of Pisces. The possibilities are endless…and likely intangible just now. The trick is to turn bright ideas into hard assets, and in this respect you get a heads-up this week – even disappointing news has a potential pay-off. Stay focused on what you can physically hold.
Leo
Current events have a simple message; complete what you have started. Mars, in your skies for months now and until June, turns to forwards motion this week and you should follow suit – dust off wearisome disputes (extend the olive branch if you can find the courage) and position yourself as dashing romantic. Work is there (hopefully), but March is a month where personal passions (and their troubles) dominate.
Virgo
On the back foot? The scenario with significant others looks messy. Whether it’s an enemy or a hot crush, all one-on-one relationships are in a state of rare flux and excitement. New arrivals that promise to drag you from your comfort zone are to be welcomed (cautiously, of course). Enemies can be accommodated, but only on a justice basis, not by mere appeasement, which only sets up trouble for the future.
Libra
Tricky tides. Your planet, just and lovely Venus, pops up in opposition this week, promising an ‘ouch’ reality check in major relationships … or you may choose to impose the same on your other half! Not a time for Libra’s ‘I just want everyone to be happy’ approach. Au contraire, you have to start deciding what you want from your many and ever ambiguous relationships. Meanwhile, work is must-do. Must-do. Rats!
Scorpio
A full and raging tide is just the sort of weather for a Scorpio. The professional issue now hitting critical (maybe crisis) point doesn’t need to be rushed; after all, it’s the culmination of three months of work and negotiation. Simply dig in your heels and tough it out. Any personal or romantic flashpoint needs a more active and passionate input; operate from the heart, not the head. If you’re footloose and fancy free, this is playtime!
Sagittarius
Today’s three quarter Moon in your skies puts you at a minor crunch point; awkward and edgy perhaps. No biggy; the incoming energies of your fellow fire sign, Aries, make the remainder of March a delight rather than a challenge. Concentrate on making the domestic scene breezy. If you have a birthday circa 22 November, here’s the week to sort out one long, tangled relationship, maybe to find out if it’s romantic rather than a friendship. Be your uncompromising self.
Capricorn
A favourite subject – the wonder that is your career –gets a minor reality check this week when Venus and your Saturn ruler are in opposition. No cause for alarm (though, perhaps, the cause of weary eyes), but here’s a glimpse of what lies ahead in autumn. Busy yourself with that perspective in mind. Connections between your family and your prosperity are also highlighted; as in how much you can afford to bail them out.
Aquarius
Mars sits balefully on your seventh house cusp, a cue to sit tight and stare back unblinkingly at whoever is giving you bother. Concentrate on the people and situations that grant you space and movement and let intransigent situations stew until sheer boredom makes the other parties shift their stance. A pushy female friend or neighbour could be the one to help shake things up.
