Many Thanks

Posted on 22 February 2010

I have been bowled over by the many comments that have arrived about my Observer horoscopes. Thank you to everyone who has written and thank you for your often touching messages.

I have decided to put up a monthly Sun Sign forecast, starting with March. Hopefully this will be online this coming Sunday, 28 February. I hope this will help those of you missing the weekly forecasts in The Observer.

Just found this site. Sadly the Observer is falliing into line –
It’s their loss – we miss you.

    April monthly horoscopes?

  • Thankyou for posting the horoscopes again. I was really happy when i found them on your site.

I only visited The Observer website to catch up with you and now I don’t. Surely it’s their loss in terms of ‘hits’. I subscribe to The Week for my news.

It looks like there are quite a few of us who miss your column, so this site will be popular for a long time to come.

Would you consider a Facebook page as well?

    Dear Neil,

You are responsible for my schizophrenia! I don’t believe in astrology – yet avidly consulted your column for its intelligent style and bizarrely accurate content. Your work is unique and its idiosyncratic presence in a paper like The Observer was a gloriously guilty pleasure to enjoy with Sunday breakfast.

Thank you very much for your online horoscopes. However, I do hope you reappear soon at my Sunday breakfast table.

    Neil,
Your weekly horoscope was the only one I had any time for. You have been so ‘on the mark’ for years! Your page would be the first one I headed for each week in the Sunday Observer Mag.I always keep the yearly one for reference.
It was quite a shock when you disappeared so unceremoniously!
Pleased to have ‘tracked you down’ again, and that you are continuing communication. Thank you so much.

I was horrified not to find your weekly column in the online Guardian. It was the first thing I looked for each week.

Please continue publishing a weekly column somewhere. We need you! Yes, even those of us across the Pond.

  • Thank You says:

    Dear Neil,

I guess we all are curious to know if your horoscope gave you any indication the Guardian would do what it did?

I for one am very disappointed that they have done this – your horoscopes have been important & helpful for years! It is the main reason I bought the Sunday paper – the rest of the paper was a bonus.

Thank you for publishing the month horoscope here and do hope we see you back at a weekly soon!

Hope your in good spirits and possibly enjoying a well earned rest?

    Thank you again.

I’m so glad you’re still writing! I’ve always loved your horoscopes – the first thing I read every week.
I now live abroad in a country where Sunday is the start of the week. Ever since I got here, I’ve been starting the day by reading your horoscopes so I was so disappointed when they weren’t there anymore. But they’re back!
    Fingers crossed for weeklies!
    Many thanks.

Was quite alarmed last weekend to discover the only horoscope I read had disappeared from the Observer Magazine. Thank goodness I have found your site and can breath gently again. (Scorpio)

  • Anne Gray says:

    And breathe!

    Thank you.

  • Dee says:

    Hoorah! 3 cheers for Neil.
[We'll have to read the monthly forecasts every week until you do weekly ones again]

  • Merle says:

Glad to hear you are planning to continue with your horoscope writing- Thank you !

Thank you so much for the Sun Sign forecast Neil, I was so disappointed last weekend to find the horoscopes had gone.

One of the reasons I read the Observer was for your forecasts. To say that I will miss you on Sundays is an understatement. I am looking forward to reading the monthly forecasts.

  • Caroline says:

Oh! That is just terrific news! Couldn’t believe it when I searched for the trusty (and fabulously written) forecast on Sunday… my week hasn’t been quite the same since.

I have shared your “weather forecasts” with friends and loved ones far and wide.

I love the way you contextualise the week in the wider scene/shifts in the stars. Really great.

Thank you and I look forward.

  • K, London says:

    Phew!

  • Oh that is such good news. I’ve got withdrawal symptoms already!
